IT and Digital Manager, Ulverston, Cumbria

Tritech International is looking to hire an IT and Digital Manager to join the company in an exciting new phase of the company’s development. Having recently been acquired by General Oceans the company is eager to develop its IT capability and the use of Digital tools to improve company communication and efficiency. This role will be responsible for managing the company’s IT infrastructure together with the company partners, along with developing and implementing an IT and Digital long term strategy. This role is expected to be based at our Ulverston (Cumbria) facility however responsibility of the IT infrastructure for the whole of the business is included.
Reports to: Finance Director
Job Responsibilities:
• Manage the rolling replacement of all IT assets.
• Specify and purchase equipment.
• Install and configure equipment with support from IT service partners.
• Provide some level of training and equipment instruction.
• Manage all forms of digital communication within the company:
• Email, Internet, Telephone system.
• Ensure solid backup and disaster recovery is in place.
• Ensure backups are completed and maintained with IT service partners.
• Test disaster recovery procedures regularly.
• Secure adequate data storage required for disaster recovery.
• Work with IT service partners to maintain good Cybersecurity and the correct use of the Company Network.
• Manager the company network.
• Servers, switches and cabling, firewalls, printers etc.
• Support PCs along with IT service partners.
• Manage company Software licences,
• CAD systems, Microsoft 365, development software and all internet platforms.
• Manage the company’s IT budget and spending in line with the agreed budget.
• Support all new IT initiative with Partners and IT service providers.
• Where possible Diagnose and repair IT issues along with IT service partners.
• Provide some first line support to users along with IT service partners.
• Own the company IT and Digitalisation Strategy in line with overall company strategy.
Qualifications
• Microsoft Certified System Administrator or equivalent.
• 3 years’ experience in a similar role with knowledge of PC and network H/W, Windows Servers, domain controllers and bulk network storage equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the organisation and troubleshoot basic PC and Network issues.
• Ability to manage all IT and Software partners to support the company IT and Digital strategy.
• Degree in Computer Science or other science base subject would be a bonus.
