About the Role – Buyer / Planner, Ulverston, South Lakes
As Buyer / Planner, you will join a highly customer oriented team who are constantly striving to improve both efficiency and service levels. The team is responsible for the planning of production workload, and ensuring the necessary materials are available to achieve the plan. The role will involve both planning and purchasing activities. The work is busy and varied.
The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys working as part of a team and making a difference for customers (both internal and external). They will ideally have relevant experience of working in a Purchasing / Planning environment and using an ERP system for stock control. Good attention to detail and an analytical approach will be important. The candidate will also be comfortable using Microsoft Excel and Word at least at basic level and possess good communication skills (both verbal and written).
Qualifications
Qualifications: No specific qualifications required but the candidate needs to be adequately numerate and literate. Other logistics related training/qualifications will be an advantage.
